“The Green Mile” Boosted Wagon does 1/8 mile Burnout!
Texas racer Blake Williams recently lost his life in a terrible accident at Yellow Belly drag way. Northstar Dragway held a memorial for Williams, a popular young racer in the grudge scene around Texas, where his friends and fellow racers came together to share memories and stories of Blake. And burnouts!
NXGonzo Video was on had to capture the smoke show when this unassuming 1960 Chevrolet Parkwood station wagon – hardly your typical drag car – rolled into the burnout box and started his Burnout for Blake. And he kept going… and going… annnnnnd going! The Green Mile, as it’s known, didn’t stop at the 60′ clock. It didn’t stop at half track. The boosted wagon instead roasted the hides all the way though the 1/8th mile, laying down a badass plume of smoke over 600′ down the track.
Blake will certainly be missed by his fellow gearheads, but thanks in part to this awesome event, his memory will live on in the Lone Star state.
