The Legendary “Hemi Under Glass” Wheelie Machine’s Last Ride
Sometimes, when a builder sets out to do something with a car, they learn along the way that maybe their original goals aren’t exactly where the car is going to finish and that’s ok because most times, they’ll shift their perspective accordingly and come up with new goals for their ride!
In this one, we catch up with the “Hemi Under Glass,” the famous Hemi powered Plymouth Barracuda that earned its name thanks to a rear-mounted engine that supplies power straight to the rear tires without too much space in between; a cool setup to admire, indeed.
Now, if you’ve ever drag raced, you would probably imagine that with 2500hp under the glass and that kind of weight distribution, that it might be a little bit difficult to keep the front wheels down and this time, we see that this car has that issue and then some but the guy behind it seized the opportunity to turn it from a dragster to a showstopping stunt car.
Check out the video below that shows off this one of a kind wheelie car that can yank the front end up into the air and keep it there for as long as the long, skinny pedal is pushed to the floor. This incredible ride has amazed many, but it has come time for the car to be put to rest and this video will take you inside of the car’s long career all the way up until the final moments.
