The Most Drastically Designed Rolls Royce Ever Comes to Life

With most of the vehicles that we see, they’re designed to appeal to some sort of wide range of consumers. Even with the high end exotic and luxury market, the boldest designs are set aside in favor of designing a vehicle that will appeal to a more broad number of people. After all, the most eccentric designs could scare some folks away. Sometimes, though, we see that idea set aside in cars that essentially become rolling pieces of art. With the Rolls Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I, we see that sense of freedom in creation come to life.

When speaking on the original, we think Ben Wojdyla of Jalopnik said it best. He called it a “Complete and utter disregard for cost, opinion, standard, and precedence. This automobile set a benchmark we doubt will ever be reached again in within our lifetimes.” The concept of someone going at their canvas with no holds barred is something beautiful and to be appreciated. Since then, it’s turned out that someone had an itch to bring this sort of design flair back to life. Ugur Sahin Design used that same creative prowess to make the modern version as well.

“The main goal of this design was to respectfully reinterpret the original Rolls Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe I, which was built in Belgium by Henri Jonckheere and his son Joseph Jonckheere in 1935. Unfortunately the “Jonckheere Works” was destroyed during WW2 and no records survived, so who commissioned or designed the original car remains a mystery.” –Ugur Sahin Design

By following along below, we get to see the reinterpretation of the car as brought to life on a modern chassis. It’s quite amazing to see such design unfold as moden meets classic in this clash of elements that creates the ultimate piece of rolling artwork.
