They Tricked Out a Cummins Powered K5 Blazer
If there’s one thing that most fans will notice about the Diesel Brothers, it’s that they tend to do things on a grand scale. No matter what the project is, there always seems to be a twist thrown in that really makes it stand out from the pack.
This time, the project just so happens to be a 1989 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. Now, if you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering what this model has to do with the Diesel Brothers. After all, the K5 Blazer was never offered with a diesel option under the hood.
However, when they were asked to build a promotional vehicle for a customer, they were able to source this old-school Chevrolet that already had a little bit of diesel influence. Under the hood of the truck, it would sport a 12v Cummins that was ready to see a little bit of action.
With a solid base beneath them, the crew was able to get to work. It must’ve been nice to not have to execute all of the components of an engine swap, already having a solid base to go off of. From there, it seems like they just had to refresh the engine a little bit before adding custom visuals to this truck to really make it pop.
The crew got to work, stripping the truck down entirely and going over it with a fine-tooth comb. Before they moved on, they also created a custom trailer designed to support their client’s product. Designing a trailer for marine-grade audio equipment would be a difficult process. However, with a little bit of will and ingenuity, the crew managed to smash it out of the park.
By following along with the video below, Discovery takes us inside of this one-of-a-kind build and how it came to life.
