This 1240hp Twin Turbo Ford GT Sounds Glorious!
Ford’s GT is one of the most beloved cars to ever roll of an American assembly line. The car, even in totally stock form, just oozes a refined confidence that very few cars can pull off. Of course, much of that confidence comes from the cars 550 factory horsepower rating, making it one of the most powerful domestic cars ever built back in 2006 when the first generation of the GT was being built.
Double the horsepower and then some, add a great looking set of wheels and an insane exhaust note, and the GT is suddenly stripped of the quiet confidence and transformed into a snarling arrogant beast. This version was modified by Heffner Performance to crank out an insane 1,240 horsepower thanks to a twin turbo combination that force feeds the 5.4 liter engine a heaping portion of compressed air. The engine consumes the air and spews through the beautiful sound of the exhaust as the car is cranked and driven out of the Oldtimertage Classic Remise Berlin 2014, where YouTuber SpotterJacob caught the action.
We also get a nice walk around look at the car with the engine cover raised inside the event, offering a great look at the surprisingly factory-appearing Heffner install. SpotterJacob also peeks inside the car, showing us the gorgeous interior of the GT while the car was on display.
With over twelve hundred horsepower on tap, there’s no telling what this car is capable of, and with that raspy racecar exhaust note, the car is sure to attract a crowd of salivating onlookers at every stop. We know Heffner is responsible for some of the fastest cars on the planet and has had several of their cars break world records in the 1/4 mile, half mile and standing mile. With a shop that can make those claims handling the horsepower, there’s no telling how fast this car could be.
