This 1971 Chevelle with a 454 might be one of cleanest Chevelles we have seen
No matter what kind of cars you happen to be into, whether you are a hard-core Japanese culture enthusiast, Italian supercar aficionado, or something else, there are some cars that we think can just be appreciated universally.
When you take a look at something like this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle boasting 454 cubic inches underneath the hood, you can’t help but have your jaw drop just a little bit. Our partner Richard F’s uncle has really kept this thing in pristine condition and we are loving it.
There is a catch… this car is not an original SS. This car was born a Malibu with 350 cubic inch motor with an automatic transmission. The car has been completely modified to emulate an SS complete with a 454 cubic inch motor and a 4 speed Muncie.
This time, we catch up our friends Chevelle at a local car show, the car is as clean as the day that it rolled off of the assembly line and you would never know it was a Malibu orginally just by looking at it.
When we go back over this clip and pay attention to the details of this car has to offer, we can’t help but wish that we were around during the time when these were brand new and wheeling everywhere on the streets. That must’ve been one heck of an era to be alive!
