This Blown Chevy Nova on Bags Is Wicked!
We love Novas. We love blowers. We love airbagged suspensions. Needless to say, this blown Nova on airbags got a ton of love around the office.
A perfect example of a street terror, this Chevy II looks great and has a ton of menacing presence, from the massive blower standing tall above the fenders to that classic Chevrolet silhouette, the car just oozes badassness. When the owner hit the button to dump the airbags and lower the suspension over the wheels, it literally takes on a whole new level of wicked. We would love to know more about the car itself if anybody out there knows the owner. With a blower that big, we can’t help but assume the car is cranking out gobs of torque and horsepower.
We have no idea how well airbags do when it comes to hooking up a torquey blown hotrod on the dragstrip, but for cruising and car shows, its the best of both worlds. You can air up the suspension to full height and get a nice comfy ride, then drop it down to get that awesome aggressive stance when you reach your destination. The blower provides instant torque without having to wait on turbos to spool or having to fill nitrous bottles constantly, making it an ideal power adder for street and strip use. The small, relatively lightweight Chevy II Nova is a perfect platform for a show car because they are plentiful, but not as overdone as Camaros and Mustangs. They are great looking cars that can be built to the owner’s liking and come out totally different from other Nova’s in the scene. We’d love to get our hands on this thing and cruise around the SoCal area for a day or two just to see what kinds of looks we get.
