This is exactly why ships use tugboats
If you have ever wondered what the point of a tugboat is when pulling a large ship through a channel, this video will show you precisely why such measures are necessary to make sure that the sizable load gets through to its destination.
In this display, we watch those catastrophe nearly unfolds when a large ship comes in close proximity of another ship. Momentum would eventually dictate that it collided with the other ship if it weren’t for the tugboat wedging itself in between the large vessels and quick before pushing it out into the water again.
The entire thing was captured on a surveillance camera as you can see in the video below as the situation came incredibly close to becoming an epic failure but some swift maneuvering under pressure made sure that catastrophe didn’t unfold this night.
Check out the action-packed sequence below that shows us just one of the dangers that could come about if these precautions weren’t put in place.
