This is What An Engine Looks Like After 100,000 Miles With NO Oil Change!
When it comes to making sure that your engine is going to live as long as it possibly can, changing the essential fluids like the oil can take you a long way toward that goal of stretching out that engine’s lifespan for all that it’s worth. However, for this person, I guess that they missed the memo about keeping up with that because it looks like they might have just neglected to change the most important fluid of them all in the oil and let it go for 100,000 miles without replacing it and, as you could imagine, things got rather ugly in there as without lubrication, everything began to get eaten up slowly but surely!
As this engine is taken apart piece by piece, it almost makes you cringe as surfaces are destroyed and discoloration is spread throughout the entire thing. If anything, this example of an engine might just be the poster child for exactly why you shouldn’t let something like this go so long. As someone who takes pride in their ride, this one might be a little bit disturbing but it’ll make you a little bit more grateful that you’ve had the foresight to take care of things like this before it’s too late and things start going bad and getting destructive!
Check out the video below that takes you for a tour through the engine to show you exactly what happens if you don’t do the bare bones minimum maintenance to keep your car up to par. Taking a look at something like this almost makes you want to head out to your driveway to change the oil right away? Be sure to tell us what you think of the remnants here. Is this as bad as you expected it to be or is it even worse!?
