This Is Why You Shouldn’t Use a Selfie Stick While Driving…
It’s no secret that guys do some stupid stuff, especially when they’re driving. In trucks. In the middle of fields. While using a selfie stick to record the action. Thankfully, the camera at the end of said selfie stick was recording the stupidity as it unfolds.
This guy, who we have to assume didn’t intend to be quite as dumb as the end result of this video, seemed to be out just having a great time, slinging some dirt in his F150 while capturing the festivities with a camera on a selfie stick he was holding out the window. We can’t really see much as far as what may have caused the unexpected ending, but something happened to cause the truck to tip up onto its side.
As you might imagine, this led to an awkward and unexpected close-up encounter with his buddy riding shotgun, as the driver, who notably was not wearing his seatbelt, tumbled out of his seat and ended up sitting on top of the passenger door. Remarkably, he held onto the selfie stick and captured the slow roll unpretty stunning detail. The camera was bounced around a little bit as the driver tried to brace himself during the tip, but for the most part, you can see exactly what happened.
As almost always seems to be the case, the first comment after the fact was “We got all that on video”, showing just how important the footage is in today’s “post everything online” mentality. Thankfully, all occupants seem to be uninjured, though it seems almost a certainty that the passenger side of the truck is now a crumpled mess.
Look, I’ll shoot straight with you guys. A lot of the reason Speed Society exists is because you guys have a camera rolling most of the time, so we’re not at all mad about that, but just know, we would much rather see footage of you doing something fun, and maybe MILDLY dangerous than something like this, that could have been much, much worse. Just use your common sense out there, guys and gals!
