The Best Female Racers of All Time
1. Michelle Mouton
This might come as a surprise to many, but we all know rally drivers are from another planet and Michelle Mouton is no exception to that rule. Few people know Michelle like they know Danica and she admittedly has little wheel-to-wheel racing under her belt compared to other women on this list. However, in the 80’s, Michelle was a lion among lambs in World Rally Cross and off-track excursions. Her fearless, all-or-nothing driving approach is admired to this day and would have earned her the WRC championship (she ended up 2nd overall) in 1982 had she not experienced a massive mechanical failure towards the end of the final race.
“What Michelle Mouton could do with a Group B Audi Quattro was nothing short of magic.”
