Denise “First Lady of Racing” McCluggage was a trail blazer in the world of motorsport, journalism, sports photography and beyond. When we lost Denise in 2015, we lost a legend. Someone who was admired and loved by the baddest dudes in and out of motorsport. Someone young girls could look up to.

Among being inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame, Denise’s racing accomplishments include:

• 1st in GT Class at the 1961 Sebring 12HR race with the Ferrari 250
• 1st in Copa De Damas at the Grand Prix of Venezuela in her Porsche 550
• 1st in the Monte Carlo Rally
