Toyota’s New Dynamic Force Engine is Super Efficient
Inside of your engine, there is a constant battle going on between all of the moving parts and the loss of power. Essentially, the way that power works is it’s either going to the ground through your tires or it gets lost somewhere along the way in friction which creates heat and really throws a wrench in the gears. The eventual goal is to eliminate as many other factors as possible to prevent the power from going anywhere but to the ground. In this way, you not only produce more power but you also get more efficient on burning fuel if your goal isn’t to operate a racing machine as most consumers aren’t.
While manufacturers might go about it in many complicated ways that change every single aspect of the engine under your hood, essentially, at the end of the day, this is the main goal for pretty much every automotive manufacturer to figure out how to maximize by creating the most efficient system of components that they possibly can in order to come together in a way that most effectively uses the energy created by your engine in order to give you a nice and smooth ride free of hassle and preferably with more money sticking around in your wallet.
If you follow along in the video below, our host from Engineering Explained takes us inside of Toyota’s new dynamic force engine and explain to us some of the things that they put in place to try and make this little powerhouse incredibly efficient. It’s pretty wild that with some of these changes it ends up being pretty simple to accomplish some wild results. I guess that at the end of the day, you could do a complete overhaul of an engine but sometimes, it’s the simple things that really make it all come together perfectly.
