Trophy Truck Drives Down the Hwy at 70MPH With No Back Tire

Trophy Trucks are built to handle the rigors of racing through the desert, which includes hitting jumps at high speeds and the occasional boulder in the way, along with a host of other obstacles that require them to be built very well.

Whether it was an intentional design feature or just worked out this way, the trucks are apparently perfectly at home running 70+ MPH down the highway with three of four tires in place. As you can see in the video below, this truck is wrapping up a race with a jaunt down a paved section of highway near the finish line with one of the wheels completely void of any rubber, and it’s handling it perfectly fine!

This clip is a perfect illustration of just how over-engineered these truck are, out of necessity, when they’re designing them to hit the sandy back country at break-neck speeds.
