We’ve said it before and we’re gonna say it again now: as cool as dynos are, they can be very dangerous too!

This video is full of diesel dyno fails where things take a turn for the worse in the blink of an eye, showing just how quickly things can turn south. These torquey powerhouses are likely cranking out well over 1,000 ft/lbs of torque and boost levels nearing triple digits, and as you’d expect with that level of stress, things get explosive.

We don’t really have any info about what actually happened with these trucks, but turbo failures are likely the culprit in several of them. What we do know is all of them result in catastrophic failures and big booms, and a couple of big fireballs.
