Underground Racing sets Audi R8 1/4 mile ET world record
Congratulations to Mohammad of Drag 965 on his new world record for the Audi R8 1/4 mile. The team at Underground Racing installed their top-of-the-line twin-turbo system on his 2017 Audi R8 Plus DCT to make it put down the fastest Audi R8 1/4 mile in the world.
There have been a few R8‘s running 9-second times, but Underground Racing slapped that down with a 9.025-second run at 160 mph flat! That’s fast no matter what you’re driving and especially in a street car. This monster is producing 1,200hp, which is pretty much average for Underground Racing’s supercars, while some of their higher level builds reach up to 2,000+hp.
According to Underground Racing, these passes were only the beginning. They were testing the car and now plan on putting even more power to it. Hopefully we hear more from Mohammad soon and possibly see him at one of ShiftS3ctor’s Airstrip Attack events soon. Check out this video of the insane pass.
