Fast and Furious Announces Last Three Movies in Franchise
Odds are, if you are passionate about cars, you’re probably also a fan of the Fast and Furious franchise. No matter how corny the series gets, you just can’t look away from the screen.
We share this same passion and today, we bittersweetly announce what we presume to be the last three films in the epic saga spanning 10-years.
In April of 2001, we were all introduced to characters that would preside every summer for even more automotive based action, giving us endless entertainment as we pressed play over and over again.
Vin Diesel says that he generally doesn’t like to break character when working on a flick, but took a quick minute to make the announcement while working on his latest, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” It is “Toretto Tuesday” after all.
On the official Fast and Furious Facebook page, a post was released announcing the eighth, ninth, and tenth films to be released in April, every other year starting in 2017. While nobody really came out and actually said it, it does appear as if these will be the last films as framed by the picture.
Only time will tell if this truly marks the ending of a 10-part saga that has spanned a generation. For some reason, we get the feeling that we will all be revisiting this question in 2021.
