Vintage VW Bug with an airplane engine, built in 30 days for under $3,000
For some folks, there is a stigma around building cars that says that you need to come up with a whole bunch of money to put together something cool.
We aren’t going to lie, if you’re picking out top of the line parts and putting together the fastest or cleanest of anything, you’re going to spend a pretty good amount of money.
However, that isn’t to say that you need to have all kinds of crazy capital to get yourself into something custom and fun to drive.
This time, we check out quite an incredible rat rod as powered by a Cessna airplane motor. The best part of this VW Bug is that it was constructed in just 30 days for under $3000.
Now, this might be on the far end of realistic for your average builder just throwing together a hot rod in their garage, but it really shows you how far your dollar can be stretched if you really are willing to do the leg work and research.
Check out the video below and be sure to tell us what you think of this custom creation that came together quite nicely, especially when you consider the fact that it was done in such a short period of time and on a shoestring budget.
