Volvette – Volvo V70 With a Corvette Motor Roasting Some Tires!
If you take a look across the scene of the automotive performance landscape, there are a lot of vehicles that have received LS power plants under the hood. It’s really a polarizing concept where some people are in love with the idea that you should sick these engines in just about anything that you can imagine and other people absolutely hate the concept, insisting that the LS series should just stay in the vehicles that it came in. However, no matter who’s right here, the latter will never be able to see their vision come true because people are going to stuff these engines in everything that they can until something better comes out that can also be had at such an affordable price point.
This time, the swap candidate is none other than what would otherwise probably be one of the most boring vehicles to ever make its way down the highway. Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing wrong with a Volvo V70 wagon. Sure it could be the safest and most reliable car in the world and even provide you with a little bit of comfort as well, however, with the factory powertrain, the car isn’t really something that’s going to turn anybody’s head. However, with a couple of key modifications, this thing has gone from boring family hauler to brutal beast!
If you follow along down the video below, you’ll get a glimpse of the Corvette-powered Volvo as it takes a shot at really killing some tires. There’re certainly a lot of wacky LS creations and each has a place in the hearts of GM engine enthusiasts everywhere. Even though this one started off as nothing more than your run-of-the-mill family wagon, it definitely has become something that is worthy of admiration here and is killing some tires to prove it.
