Watching this Civic Race a GT-R and Nitrous Camaro Will Plant You Back in your Seat
The ability to put together a sleeper is a beautiful thing, indeed. There’s just something so special about a car that doesn’t look fast but ends up being a real competitor out there on the drag strip. This time, we catch up with one of those cars at Street Car Takeover as this Honda Civic, of all machines, kicks things up to a new level. Perhaps the most fun thing about this ride is that the owner has done his best to make this thing look like it’s not a threat at all. That’s exactly what he wants you to think when he pulls up to the line in this Honda Civic that looks like nothing more than a commuter car. However, when it gets into action, it shows that it’s a lot more than that.
In this one, the Honda lines up against an impressive variety of cars including one of the most impressive factory performance machines to ever hit the drag strip in The Nissan GT-R and even a classic in a Chevrolet Camaro that’s spraying a bit of nitrous. To our surprise, the mighty little commuter was able to knock both of them on their rear ends as the car took off and never looked back as it rocketed strongly out of the hole and was able to accelerate to the finish line first to be able to claim that it’s something really special while knocking home passes in the 10-second range!
Check out the BigKleib34 video below that takes you to the scene to see what this thing is all about along with meeting up with the owner who spills the beans on why exactly this car is as fast as it is. After seeing this mean little machine in action, did the passes out of the Honda turn you into a believer? It’s hard not to be after watching this thing rip!
