What happens if you put your transmission in PARK while driving 65 mph? (NOT Recommended !)

Have you ever been rolling down the road and wondered what would happen if you had chosen to throw your car in park while driving along on the highway? Well, if it is, I doubt that it’s something that you’d be brave enough to try and for good reason. If it actually works, there’s a good chance not only that you could do an insane amount of damage to your car but also that you could lose control and end up doing damage to your body and to other drivers on the road. Losing control by locking up your brakes is the last thing that you want to do when driving around a 4,000+lb machine and having the safety of everyone around you in your hands.

This time, we check out a little test that we presume had some research to back it up but still leaves us curious nonetheless. In his very own Ford Fusion, the personality behind Autovlog heads out to the streets to see what will happen when he does just that! These newer cars are generally hooked up with enough safety features to protect an entire colony but you never know what’s going to happen out there! Something could go awry and send this whole demonstration off of the rails and turn it into another video entirely!

I would imagine that it would become even more of a game of “Russian Roulette” if the car was aged a couple of decades!
