When Trying to Seat a Trucks Tire With Fire Almost Goes Bad
When you see the “don’t try this at home” warnings popping up on videos across the web, there most certainly is a reason that they’re there even though you might choose to act like they’re not and completely ignore them altogether which we wouldn’t recommend.
This time, however, we check out yet another video that has someone trying to use the good old fashion starter fluid and torch method to set the bead on a truck tire and the result of almost ended up being a horror story when things escalated a little bit more quickly than originally anticipated.
After having some trouble getting this bead set on the wheel, they decided to pull out of torch and some starter fluid, combining the two and hoping to cause a small explosion that would set the tire right on the wheel but, when the explosion got a little bit too big, it set the wheel and tire on fire, nearly taking the truck with it! Luckily, it looks like the the the extent of the damage might have been a bit of seared paint.
