Why Exactly Are Yeti Coolers so Expensive?

It can be kind of weird to see the things that people will spend a ton of money on. Because of different trends and consumer preferences, some folks will be willing to open up their wallets for the strangest of wares.

One of the items that have become pretty popular over the past couple of years is luxury coolers. While the generic cooler section at your local Walmart has lots of options around $50 or less, there are some folks who are willing to spend upwards of $250, if not more, to buy a brand-name cooler of the same size. In fact, there are even people out there who are willing to spend over $1000 to bring home their ideal cooler.

For those who aren’t familiar with the cooler market, the craze all seems to stem back to a brand by the name of Yeti.

The Yeti brand had created a cooler and kicked off the luxury cooler craze with the help of a couple of different ideas. First, they seemed to come up with a different design that would be a little bit better for those looking to spend a long period of time on the water or out hunting. There are a lot of YouTube videos out there that dig into if they’re actually that much better or not.

While we could sit here and go back and forth for hours about if the cooling capabilities of such a unit are actually worth it or not, the more reasonable thing that we think most people would agree upon is that these massive prices come from the marketing team.
