With only 23 miles on the clock John Hennessey takes the new Camaro ZL1 to 173mph!

What do you do with you’re brand new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 if you’re John Hennessey?

You do whatever the heck you want!!! Hennessee takes his brand new Hennessee Performance ZL1 up to the top speed just to see what she with the loud pedal smashed. John and the shiny new black Camaro ran through the gears as the speed indicator on the dash counts off the progress.

By the time the factory-installed speed limiter kicked it, the readout told the story: 173 miles per hour! This all from the a car that has only twenty-three miles on the odometer. The beginning of the video is a short semi-review of the car with John talking about a few of the reasons Hennessee chose the Detroit-borne rocketship for their next project build.

We can’t wait to see how long it will take for the crew to have the car pushing and exceeding the double-century mark of top speed. They’ve already hit the hallowed two hundred MPH barrier with an SS Camaro that they managed to push to 202 MPH.
