World’s First Drive – New BMW Vision M Next!
Whenever we see a concept car released, we can’t help but get a little bit excited. We’re always ready to see what’s coming when we turn the page on the next era of motoring. One of the most exciting concepts to drop might just be that of the BMW Vision M Next. The car essentially borrows elements from the i8, M1, and BMW turbo then fuses them together. These are three iconic machines that are all being wrapped into one! This time, we check out something that’s a bit unorthodox with concepts as well.
Normally, these days, brands end up focusing on autonomy. Cars driving themselves seems to be the next big wave in transportation. We can’t tell if it’s just a gimmick or a long term solution but plenty of automakers seem absolutely obsessed with it. As Supercar Blondie points out, this concept isn’t anything of the sort, though. Instead, it focuses on those of us who are crazy enough to want to drive.
In these concepts, companies like to try to go to the wild side. Lots of the concepts found within seem to be a bit extreme for the market and will never make it to production. However, they give us a taste of how certain features were synthesized. BMW seems to have broken out all the stops to show off what they’re capable of. There are a great number of features here that would be exciting to eventually see in a production car. Only time will tell if they end up becoming integrated, though.
Last but not least, the car even has a sound composition by the one and only Hans Zimmer. He’s done music for some of the biggest movies to ever hit the screen like the Lion King, Interstellar, and Inception. Before closing this one out, be sure to catch the interview with him at the end! He surely sheds some light on how these electric cars might sound in the future!
