World’s Largest Earth Mover Destroyed With Explosives
If we’re talking about a machine that’s larger than life itself, requiring trains and heavy duty trucks to haul the many components that assembled it to put it together, how would you even begin to think about the process of taking it apart and recycling it when it’s beyond its useful life?
This time, we check out the process of the destruction of Big Muskie, a machine that’s larger than life itself and requires some brute force to take it apart. Let’s just say that in the process of doing so, things might get just a little bit explosive so you might want to stand back!
With their fair share of dynamite and careful placement, this once great machine is imploded on itself so that it can be more easily removed from the job site. It’s sad to think that a machine that is capable of cranking out 63,000 hp to carry out jobs that are almost bigger than the mind can fathom has to come to an end but such is life.
Check out the video below that shows the final moments of this massive piece of machinery as it falls to the Earth and the materials get ready for their next stage of life, whatever that stage might be.
