1 Hour of SEMA with Hoonigan You Must SEE!
It’s the week after SEMA 2017, and you know what that means: show footage overload! While you could watch for days on end and not make a dent in the total stash of footage from this years show, our partners in crime at Hoonigan have got one of the best videos we’ve seen so far, so we wanted to share it with our fans who weren’t able to make the show this year.
I’ll say it up front, this video is an hour long. I don’t want to hear any complaining, though, because it’s an hour full of awesomeness, as is always the case with anything from the Hoonigan crew. The video opens, as should any inclusive SEMA Experience vlog, with the journey to the show. The guys elected to drive, because they’re real gearheads and wouldn’t dare pass up the opportunity to make the awesome drive out to Vegas from Southern California. From there, they dive into the first day of the show, sharing a few anecdotes and, of course, a huge dose of cars from the show, which are always the focus for any good SEMA footage.
The guys hit the show floor and pick their favorite car and each choose their favorite ride from the weekend. Hert chose an insanely modified RX7 (likely choice, amirite?!) with an insane body kit and some badass wheels. Brian Scotto selected a wicked pro street style Volkswagen Rabbit with some ultra clean lines and a gorgeous LS swap under the hood Joh chose perhaps the most unique car at the show, a gorgeous ’63 Rambler station wagon. At first glance it looks like a fairly tame build with fender flares and a cool set of wheels, but walking around the car and really looking at it, it’s actually a pretty crazy custom build in many ways, including having an independent rear suspension out of a 5th Gen Camaro. The group – or actually probably just Scotto himself – chose an IROC Camaro as Zac’s favorite since somebody had to stay back at the Hoon HQ and actually work, and that rounded out the crew choices for best rides at the show.
Of course, there’s a LOT more going on in this hour-long SEMAfest, so we suggest you grab a drink and some chips, crank up the volume and watch all of what the Hooligans caught during their trip to SEMA 2017!
