The 1800HP Red Demon Returns and the Stick Shift MONSTER is Meaner Than Ever
Devin Schultz has been a fixture in both the DSM and stick shift racing community for quite some time now. Lots of cars come and go from these respective worlds. However, none of them have been able to match the accomplishments of this very Eagle Talon.
The car isn’t only quick. Nearly blasting to the 6-second quarter-mile range is enough to put the machine on just about anyone’s radar. However, along with a 7.04-second quarter mile and 215 mph pass comes the stick shift records. The car once held the quickest elapsed time and fastest mph down the quarter-mile for a stick shift machine. Since then, the Toyota Supra owned by Joel Grannas has taken the record in the 6s but Red Demon shouldn’t be far behind!
These records haven’t come easy. As Schultz tells us, this is the culmination of more hard work and attention to detail than most can fathom. He recalls that over the past 14 years or so, the DSM has plenty of time invested in it. In fact, Devin tells us that there are plenty of components that have hours of time into making every detail line up. When taking one look at the car and its track record, it’s not hard to believe him. Not only is this thing blistering fast but it also looks the part of a show car as well!
By following along in the video below, we’re able to join in as That Racing Channel follows the most recent variation of the car as Red Demon V2 is coming to life!
Long story short, in the world of stick shift racing, it doesn’t get any better than this! Devin and company are on the money and we wouldn’t be shocked to see more records fall before long. Be on the lookout for this 1800 hp monster to be in the mix in the stick shift conversation for a long time to come!
