1979 Chevy Malibu Breaks an Axle and Comes Down Hard

If there is one good reason that we can think of to buy better parts, it’s breaking the old ones. If they can’t take the heat, get them out of the kitchen! That appears to be the silver lining in this otherwise cloudy situation.

When this Chevrolet Malibu launched hard, it doesn’t look like the wheels out back really wanted to cooperate with the rest of the car.

When the traction proved to be too much, the wheels decided to keep going while the car itself didn’t really agree as it would stay put.

Check out the video below as an axle snaps and sends a wheel flying out from under the Chevy. It looks like it’s back to the drawing board for this guy.
