5.9L 12v Cummins Swapped Jeep Wrangler is All the Intensity You Need to Get Monday Going
In the scheme of the automotive aftermarket, there are so many different combinations that can really make our heads spin. Within these combinations, all sorts of different pairings may take something that’s the way that the manufacturer intended it and turn it into something else entirely. Perhaps, it could be an opportunity to try something that maybe we want to see the manufacturer try themselves.
With that in mind, we don’t think that Jeep will soon be producing a Wrangler with a Cummins engine shared with a heavy-duty truck anytime soon. However, seeing the creation come to life certainly flips a switch with diesel fans. Granted that this sort of application is generally restricted to the aforementioned heavy-duty truck, being able to transplant it into just about anything that Cummins fans can get their hands on definitely provides an interesting journey.
This time, we check out the build that goes by the name of “Jealous Again.”
This one, we’re told, packs a 5.9L 12v Cummins under the hood. The same engine can be found in Dodge Rams through 1998 when it was replaced with a more emissions-friendly 24v application. In any case, the 12v is still regarded as one of the most potent combinations in the diesel performance community. It was only fitting that such an engine was the selection for a wild build like this.
As we take a look over the Jeep, we see that it’s filled with all sorts of other goodies like a lift kit among other off-road friendly accessories but it’s hard to look away from the hood stack exhaust rolling black smoke. It’s just not something that we’re used to seeing from a Wrangler but is a combo that we wouldn’t mind seeing a lot more of. “Jealous Again” definitely dives into something different that is sure to turn heads!
