The engineers at Dodge have swiped a few truckloads of supercharged HEMI Hellcat engines and dropped them under the hood of their Grand Cherokee to build one of the most insane SUV’s to ever roll off any assembly line, domestic or foreign. The Trackhawk mates the 707 horsepower powerplant to Jeep’s beloved all-wheel-drive system, giving the don’t-call-it-a-Jeep-Hellcat Trackhawk an insane advantage over its two-wheel drive brethren, the Charger and Challenger Hellcat models.

With over 700 ponies on tap, there are no suitable tire offerings that provide both traction and wear ratings needed to hook the Hellcats and provide a reasonable lifespan. Dodge had Nitro design a custom drag radial for the 840 horsepower Demon that provides a lot more traction but also sacrifices lifespan due to the super-soft compound used in the tire’s composition. However, when you double the number of tires digging at the asphalt, things change drastically.

However, that also means you don’t get the fun of doing burnouts whenever you want, and for the true gearheads among us, that’s a seriously big issue, but we’re also a resourceful, creative bunch that can solve any problem given the time and drive to do so. What this Trackhawk owner came up with is not a unique solution, we’ve seen cars chained up before so they can roast all 4 tires, but this is the first time we’ve seen it done with the baddest production SUV to ever hit the highways.
