With two hands on the wheel and a full tank of gas, a great feeling comes over you as you might get that gut feeling that you can conquer the road ahead of you.
This video uploader, however, tells us that maybe filling up your gas tank all the way could be essentially like throwing away dollars at a time.
“Why is that?” you might ask. Well, this video tells us that some fuel pumps will respond to an over full tank by retracting some of the fuel that it just dispensed and you paid for.
According to the EPA, gas stations come with a vapor recovery system that — once the gas tank is full — will feed gas vapors and gasoline from the pump back into the station’s tank to prevent vapors from escaping into the environment.
