Howie Long Drag Races the Chevy Silverado HD vs Ford Super Duty with a Trailer
When talking about how good one vehicle is, it’s only natural to want to compare it to another vehicle for the sake of perspective. This is where the Chevrolet versus Ford comparisons begin and this isn’t just something that you’ll catch rogue fans doing in their free time, either. It’s an exercise that even the manufacturers themselves will take part in to try and convince someone to purchase their vehicle over another, pushing the other brand’s name a little deeper in the dirt. This time, we check out a little bit of brand rivalry that takes on the topic of pickup trucks to see which one is better in this comparison.
In this branded advertising attempts from Chevrolet, we check out a little battle between the new Duramax powered Chevrolet Silverado HD and the Ford Super Duty as they go head-to-head in a drag race that ends up putting these trucks up against one another in quite an unconventional way, strapping 10,000 pounds on the back of them with a trailer in line and pitting them up against one another in a quarter mile race. Now, in the beginning of the video, they claim that this is the most powerful Chevrolet Silverado to ever hit the streets so it will be quite interesting to see how it does when it gets put up against the Ford in this odd competition that you probably shouldn’t be trying at home.
