Kenworth W900L – 3 Stick Shifting

Just when you thought that you had gotten down the basics driving a stick shift and getting ready to step up to a couple of more complex maneuvers, along comes something that you may or may not have seen before that will throw a whole wrench in the gears and make you wonder how the heck they do it! When it comes to shifting a big truck, sometimes, things can be a little bit more complicated as extra gear levers are thrown into the mix so these massive machines can get moving without a hitch!

In this one, we follow along with the driver inside of their rig that uses not one or two but three sticks to shift the heavy duty machine. Sometimes, the driver even has to use both hands to move one lever out of gear and the next into gear. It seems like an incredibly confusing concept to an outsider like myself but, after a little bit of practice, it looks like this driver most certainly has it down pat, almost to the point where it becomes second nature. Even if you have no idea what’s going on here and only understand the basic concepts, it still ends up being a lot of fun to watch!
