Hulk Hogan Bought a Demon, Almost Immediately Swapped Out the Tires
When you take a look at a vehicle like the Dodge Demon, you have to remember that’s not necessarily a 100% all-weather car like, say, the Hellcat might be. Sure, the car is street legal and if you take to get registered, it would be something that should be road legal without an issue, however, when comes to driving a vehicle like the Demon in the rain or the cold, at least in its factory trim, it might be something that you want to think twice about because doing such a thing could be a formula for disaster. After spending all that money on one of the fastest vehicles that money can buy, you certainly don’t want to go putting it in a ditch, after all.
Now, as you might learn, the Demon comes equipped with drag radials via the Nitto NT05r, a tire that is designed for good weather conditions, so much that Dodge makes the drivers sign off on a waiver saying that they absolutely will not drive the car on these tires in less than 15°F, when purchasing the Demon. Now, a late option would allow buyers to opt for a more streetable tire that would be more suitable for whatever condition your heart desires but apparently Hulk Hogan didn’t elect to go for that option or maybe he reserved his Demon before that option was available.
In the video below, you get a load of the Hulkster as he takes his gleaming black Demon into the dealer to get the tires swapped out for something that will be a little bit more accommodating when you hit a patch of rain. I guess that Hulk isn’t planning on driving this car on the race track as much as he is planning on taking it around town running errands and do other things of the like.
