Woman Claims Police Harassment, Body Cam Footage Shows What Really Happened
If you flip on just about any news channel these days, while many seem to think that the mainstream media likes to sensationalize things a bit, it seems like the political climate is pretty hot when it comes to opinions on police and civilian interactions. Sometimes, this heat might be warranted, but I think that most reasonable people would agree that other times, people might just be using the situation as a crutch to victimize themselves whether it be for their own financial betterment or for maybe for a little bit of that good old social media attention that folks just can’t seem to get away from.
This time, we check out a situation that seems to have lured in many lurkers who have their eye on how things like these unfold. Basically, what we have going on here is a traffic stop in which a woman who was allegedly speeding is pulled over by a police officer. Most of the stop goes smoothly aside from the idea that the woman seems to think that not seeing posted speed limit signs is a good excuse for speeding which we think a judge would harshly disagree with and the idea that she took his explanation for having to sign the ticket as some sort of harassment.
If you follow along in the video below, you’ll be able to follow along with the stop from the body cam’s perspective which is then followed up by the woman’s rant following the incident as she didn’t seem to be very happy with how she perceived the whole thing to go down. If you’re the judge and jury in a situation like this, who are you thinking is on the winning side? Does she have any solid ground to stand on with her gripes with law enforcement?
