Lamborghini SIAN First Look: The Hybrid Aventador SJV
For those looking for aggressive design, Lamborghini is a good place to start. Their drastic angles really make the machines pop off of the canvas. The latest from the nameplate really provides something to look at! Make no bones about it, though, the aesthetic is what draws the eye but the performance is what keeps them coming back. With every new model that the brand comes out with, we can’t help but wonder what they’re bringing to the table, under the hood.
This time, we check in with the Lamborghini SIAN FKP 37. Instead of the raw power of a combustion engine alone, this model is going to feature a hybrid system.
The V12 is complimented by a supercapacitor. Lamborghini says that the car is the “First super capacitor-based hybrid V12 by Automobili Lamborghini.” In turn, it also looks to be the first use of a supercapacitor in a hybrid at all. From what we understand, the supercapacitor, unlike a battery, is able to store energy and release it all at once. The combination is supposed to be able to harness 10 times the power of a standard battery combination.
The car promises a top speed over 200 mph thanks to 774 hp from the power sources.
Even though the Lamborghini is bringing electrification onboard, the company is determined to keep its passion alive. In a statement about the car, Lamborghini insists that “electrification doesn’t have to mean going unnoticed.”
For those that found some familiar styling queues that they can’t put their finger on, Lamborghini tells us that they drew inspiration from the Countach. American muscle isn’t the only segment borrowing styling from the icons.
For those looking to get in on this insane new model, they might have to do some digging. There are only 63 to be made, all of which are already accounted for.
