Insane Blown C10 Built in Just 12 Days For LS Fest
If there’s one thing that seems to be shared across lots of car fanatics, it’s that last-minute “Get it done” mentality. No matter what event that one might find themselves at, there is bound to be some folks who cram to get their vehicles done at the last minute. Sometimes, this can mean complete catastrophe. Not having enough time to test out the components might be a good way to make sure that something breaks. On the other hand, though, sometimes, these a last-minute mechanics find a way to come through with flying colors.
This time, the event in question is none other than Holley’s LS Fest. With one look at the campus of Beech Bend Raceway Park, we find thousands of LS-powered automobiles. They’re all ready to be raced, shown off, or both. Among the group, one vehicle stood out in particular as it was put together in less than two weeks.
With 12 days of time to work on this Chevrolet C10, a whole bunch of productivity was on the agenda. Within that span of time, the truck would undergo a complete conversion. This would include a transmission swap, engine swap, and all sorts of fitment solutions. As it turns out, the C10, according to Bill Alvis, doesn’t provide an abundance of space in the engine bay. Therefore, lots of custom work went into making this beast of the machine come together.
The crew hit lots of roadblocks on their journey. This even includes the likes of pulling out the transmission at 1:30 in the morning on the same day of the event and fabricating an exhaust in the limited amount of time. However, with a little bit of determination and the right amount of know-how, the entire picture was able to come together to form a ride worthy of showing off!
