Dax Shepard Drives Around in a Wild LSA Swapped 1994 Buick Roadmaster
When we think of celebrities making their way around Hollywood, it’s easy to slip into the mindset that they all drive high dollar automobiles. After all, most of the names that we know and love are probably making a rather substantial amount of money. Even some of those two aren’t as well-known take home some pretty insane paychecks for their efforts.
Because of this, we will commonly see the rich and famous driving around in popular models like the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. However, not everyone in Hollywood is all that thrilled with wild luxuries. In fact, there are some who would call themselves gearheads and appreciate the intricacies of an oddball ride.
Based on his automobile choice, we would probably guess that Dax Shepard is a pretty big car guy. No, he isn’t driving around in the latest Lamborghini or even a brand-new Ford or Chevrolet. Instead, he finds himself behind the wheel of a 25-year-old Buick Roadmaster. The wagon doesn’t look like anything special. On the outside, we find an old-school woodgrain that makes the car look like grandpa’s family cruiser. However, under the hood, we find a familiar face that we all know and love.
In place of the original LT1 that might’ve seemed a little bit lackluster, we find LS power. Pulled from the heart of the Cadillac CTS-V, we find an LSA engine that is just begging to have the throttle cracked open. The machine is making around 700 hp. This is a pretty decent departure from the 260 ponies from the original engine.
Down in the video below, we get to catch up with an interview in which Dax talked a little bit about his car choice. Some might be a little bit surprised at the selection of vehicles. However, as automotive enthusiasts, we can completely see the appeal in jazzing up an old wagon like this.
