Making a Rusty Old Engine New Again is Oddly Therapeutic
Sometimes, depending on what kind of surface you’re looking at, time will not be a friend to certain materials. With engines made out of metals that are susceptible to corrosion and other materials that break down over time and don’t exactly agree with the years as they pass, engines can go from something that’s shiny and worthy of your admiration to a pile of rust if you’re not careful.
It’s almost something to be expected for most materials. However, you don’t have to give up if this happens to you. There’s a solution to most problems, depending on how much time and money you’re willing to invest.
This time, we follow along with such a restoration. This takes us along for an intense journey. Almost every component is disassembled and gone over before being brought back to life again. It might not necessarily be something that’s easy. The therapeutic value in watching this all come together is definitely worth it alone. In addition, that finished product is definitely something that’s fun to look at.
We definitely have to say that this is a job well done. It seems like a good amount of attention to detail was invested in making this thing come to life once again. Where there’s a will, there’s a way and this project had someone who went all in!
If you follow along with the video below, you will be able to see the restoration of this engine in its entirety, taking something that most people wouldn’t have taken a second look at and making it a piece that you can really sink your teeth into. After seeing this one, it might just make you want to head out to your very own hot rod and shine something up real quick to bring up that presentation value.
