With NASCAR Cancelled, Drivers Turn to iRacing Simulator to Broadcast Race
It seems like most of us are going to be locked inside until further notice.
For those who are brave enough to head out into the crowds, they might get a peek at the sun every now and again. However, when it comes to all sorts of major events, the likelihood is that they’re canceled. In fact, the most recent release from the CDC is recommending avoiding gatherings of more than 50 people.
This means that all sorts of sporting events have been called off. Originally, NASCAR was planning on pushing forward without a crowd in attendance. However, as recommendations became more and more strict, they eventually decided to cancel this past weekend’s race at Atlanta and next weekend’s race as well. The next scheduled outing is due for March 29.
However, that doesn’t mean that all competition is called off. Instead, some drivers took to a racing simulator in order to give fans a little something to tide them over.
