How to Detail Faded Paint by Hand (Paint Correction)
Out there on the marketplace, there are lots of good deals just waiting to be scooped up. Sometimes, though, these good deals might be hiding behind a little bit of work. For those who are willing and ready to invest some elbow grease, though, they can end up getting themselves into a good running vehicle for a great price.
One of the latest YouTube videos from the ChrisFix YouTube channel digs into just that. The subject is none other than a Chevrolet Trailblazer. The SUV was picked up for a low price of $500. However, it was going to need a little bit of TLC in order to be brought back to life.
In addition to the $500 spent on the car, $400 in parts would be able to get it running once again. However, when Chris decided that he didn’t want to drive around in something that looked awful, he would jump to work to breathe some life back into the truck’s aesthetic.
In this one, we watch as Chris takes care of the poorly maintained paint. Essentially, we get the rundown on what it took to bring this truck back to life by hand. There aren’t any fancy techniques or tools used here. Instead, we learn a couple of tricks of the trade. These could allow us to make something look like new again. All of this was accomplished in a manner that could be carried out in pretty much any garage.
By following along with the video below, we get a couple more interesting tricks to add to the tool belt. These tactics could even come in handy for those that don’t necessarily need the information right now. For everybody who finds themselves working on cars, there’s bound to be a situation where this sort of technique will come in handy someday!
