West Coast Customs Gets Their Very Own Roller Coaster
Once the wheels get rolling on a business, one could never really know where it’s going to take them. When we look at shops like West Coast Customs, we have seen them involved in all sorts of things. When Ryan Friedlinghaus started the business with nothing more than a $5,000 loan, picturing this kind of success was probably not in his head. Who would’ve thought that the business that started with building mini trucks would turn into a worldwide phenomenon? The show has even become a big piece of automotive pop culture.
The shop has really become best known for a couple of things. Firstly, they build custom cars for a wide variety of celebrities. When celebrities with exorbitant amounts of money come into the shop, the cars that end up leaving are even more extravagant. West Coast will trick out high-end automobiles to any specification that these ultra-rich clients wish for.
You might also remember the shop for being behind the Pimp My Ride TV show. While the show certainly played into the corny reality television role, there was really something to be said about its success. All these years later, we remember watching the over-the-top creations come from the custom shop.
One of the most recent ventures that West Coast Customs seems to have dipped their toes into is a collaboration with an unlikely partner. Instead of building cars, this time, they would be tasked with putting together a roller coaster. When it comes to the craziest roller coasters in the world, Six Flags really seems to be the authority. For this one, the theme park giant wanted a partner. Guess who?
By following along with the video below, we get the entire story. It’s pretty crazy how a business like this can end up evolving to the point where it has. Even with all of their success, texting back and forth with Six Flags for almost 8 years full of setbacks probably made it seem like nothing more than a dream. Eventually, though, the dream would come to life.
