Innocent Bystander Gets Taken Out by Showoff Who Can’t Drive

There are a lot of things that can contribute to becoming a good driver. This is especially true when it comes to performance driving.

It can be really tempting to want to punch the throttle and show off if you’re behind the wheel of a performance car. However, finding those limits is what really separates the good drivers from the not so good drivers. In fact, we would argue that self-awareness of one’s limits is probably the most important aspect of being a good driver. The greatest drivers will tell you that even they will not push a car past where they think they can be in control.

This time, we check in with a situation that goes to the other end of the spectrum. Apparently, the driver of this Mazda RX-8 wanted to do a little bit of showing off. Naturally, he had a pretty quick little sports car. Showing off is kind of a part of the game. Again, though, there is definitely a time and a place to try out certain driving maneuvers. As you probably guessed by now, the driver of this particular Mazda chose the wrong time and place.

We can’t help but cringe a little bit as the sports car driver punches into the throttle. It was all captured on video as the import took off. The car would immediately veer sideways and run over a bystander before plowing into a group of Ford Mustangs. Normally, the Mustang is on the receiving end of the joke about plowing into a crowd. This time, though, it looks like the cars were the victims along with the poor guy who took quite the bump.

The man did end up getting up again after the accident that quickly plowed him over. However, there have been no reports on his status.
