Speed Society Giveaway Hellcat Redeye Hits the Dyno to Prove its Worth
At the end of the day, the way that a car performs is the end all be all. When we actually put a machine on the pavement, is it going to be able to live up to the hype? This is the question that we have to ask ourselves when building the car of our dreams.
However, before we get there, different tools can give us an idea of how something is going to do when it hits the track or street of our choosing. One of those tools just so happens to be a dyno. The dyno isn’t only helpful when it comes to measuring power. It can also serve as a powerful tool to really get a car dialed in.
While engine tuning, different parameters may need to be tested and this is where the capability of a dyno is really put to task, allowing the user to do several pulls while gathering valuable data.
This time, for those who haven’t guessed, in this one, we’re taking the final steps in tying together the 1100 hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye giveaway car. When all is said and done, the machine stands to pick up almost 300 hp over stock!
Before we get there, though, there are a couple of other modifications to get installed. Making power is one thing and definitely an important part of the equation. However, that power isn’t going to go very far if the architecture beneath doesn’t support it.
In order to support our beast’s newfound power, we add the likes of a wheel hop eliminator kit, Spohn Performance sway bar links, a Per4mance Development diff brace, and a Driveshaft Shop driveshaft. Finally, an American Racing Headers exhaust will allow the beast to breathe a little bit better before it gets turned on the dyno!
