Joe Rogan and Matt Farah Take on the Car Community’s Oldest Debate – Auto or Manual?
For basically as long as the automatic transmission has been around, there has been a long debate over which is better – the automatic or the manual? At the end of the day, this seems to be a debate that’s going to be beaten into the ground and there’s not really going to be a proper answer. I guess that one might argue that, in all reality, the right answer really depends on the driver and what their goals are. Trying to determine if one is “Better” than the other is really an exercise in futility.
What might be a more worthwhile exercise is noting the trends with each type of transmission. For example, when it comes to newer cars, some just aren’t equipped with manual transmissions anymore. At the end of the day, it actually kind of seems like manuals might be taking a step toward extinction with every new model year that comes out. Even the new Chevrolet Corvette doesn’t come with a manual option. We never thought that we would hear the day that those words were uttered but hey, it’s upon us and a very real thought to contemplate.
This time, we get to join in with a little bit of water cooler talk as Joe Rogan and Matt Farah discuss the concept as it applies to some of the more impressive cars on the market. Unfortunately for those looking for a stick shift, not all of these cars offer one. In other words, it seems like these companies are more interested in selling to the masses and achieving the best numbers possible instead of going after a niche market with a manual transmission.
By following along with the video below, we get to join in with Joe Rogan’s podcast that really dissects the concept. At the end of the day, we can’t help but love dropping in on a common conversation between a few well-respected dudes of the community.
