2023 Ranger Raptor and NEW Bronco Warthog Caught Testing in the Wild
If there is anything that has been displayed to us by the automakers here in America it’s that they still care about the enthusiast community. Headlines have really been dominated by the talks of electric cars these days. However, there are some brands out there that are making a push for performance enthusiasts.
One of the brands that seem to have a willingness to make these “fun” vehicles, if you will, is Ford. When they came back with the Bronco, Ford had shown us that they were willing to take some of risks. For all intents and purposes, many within the industry had assumed that the Bronco was going to just be another bland crossover that they slapped a nostalgic nameplate on. However, Ford really came to the plate and hit a home run with their reinvention of the model that had been so beloved in years prior.
This time, we get to check in with a couple of models that do promise to really dig into their enthusiast-grade side. On one hand, we have an upgraded version of the Ford Ranger in the Ranger Raptor. Offered with an upgraded powertrain and suspension much like its bigger brother in the F-150 Raptor, the Ranger Raptor seems to offer a bit more edge than the other trim levels.
It’s not quite available in the states yet. However, seeing testing like this definitely gives us hope.
In addition to the Ranger, we also get a look at the Ford Bronco Warthog. Much like the Raptor variation of pickup trucks, the Warthog variation promises to bring a little bit of off-road flair to the Bronco with the help of things like 37-inch tires, wider fenders, stronger axles, and Fox live valve adaptive dampers much like one would find on the F-150 Raptor.
Down in the video below, we get to follow along with a complete breakdown of these spy images from the crew over at The Fast Lane. Just when we thought that we were already getting treated in the midsize segment, Ford seems to be coming in and stepping up their game even more.
