The Guy Who Got Arrested For Riding in the Backseat of His Tesla on Autopilot Helps us Lose Faith in Humanity

Sometimes, we just can’t help but wonder what is happening in people’s heads. For one individual by the name of Param Sharma, he has recently gone incredibly viral for his antics involving a Tesla. In order to explain, we have to break things down just a little bit so bear with us.

Basically, Tesla is the king of what we know as autopilot. For those who aren’t in the know, autopilot doesn’t necessarily mean that the car will completely drive itself. Instead, because it’s not exactly perfect just yet, a human being has to be sitting in the front seat, looking over the controls, to make sure that the car doesn’t end up in a dangerous situation.

Recently, though, one individual has gone viral for his refusal to do so. Instead, he sits in the backseat of the car as the Tesla drives itself. Not only is this still relatively unsafe but it’s definitely completely illegal as of today. In the future, perhaps cars will drive themselves. As of now, though, that’s not something that we have access to on the roadways just yet.

So, for somebody who gets caught up in such a situation, what do they do? Normally, we would think that they would refrain from doing this again. However, Sharma has decided that he’s going to completely blow off the law and do whatever it is that he wants. In fact, even went so far as saying that he’ll get a new Tesla every time they take one away from him, telling cameras that he has “unlimited money to blow on Teslas.”

Down in the video below, Rob Ferretti takes it upon himself to break the whole situation down and show off the footage of this puzzling individual. At this point in time, we can’t tell if this guy is really just this lost or if this is some sort of a comedic bit. At the end of the day, I guess that money can’t exactly buy common sense.
