Count’s Kustoms Unveils GORGEOUS SEMA Build

When it comes to the SEMA show, the lights are bright and everyone is looking. When the automotive community’s best and brightest talents converge on Las Vegas for the week, they bring along with them some crazy builds and if one of these creations really pops, it could mean lots of business for the guys behind it.

Now, we’re not sure if the world-renowned Count’s Kustoms really needs all that much more business due to their presence on reality TV with shows like Counting Cars and their appearances on Pawn Stars. However, that wouldn’t stop Danny Koker and company from showing off a build at SEMA anyways.

The car in question would be a first as we’re told that Count’s Kustoms had always been represented by a vehicle belonging to one of the people who work for the shop.

This time, though, it would be a customer car getting all of the attention, and for very good reason. The 1970 Chevelle SS that was toted out to Vegas is really a star among the stars. Just imagine being able to hop behind the wheel of a brand spankin’ new 50-year-old car that’s even better than the day that it rolled off of the assembly line.

This particular build is perfect in every way and starts underneath with a Roadster Shop chassis setup that’s complicated with an independent rear suspension setup to make the ride a little smoother.

From there, the frame-off mild restored features the heart of a lion with a 500 hp LS3.

The factory convertible is coated in a custom color. The customer said that they were looking for something that reminds them of the beach so a color flex that shifts between black and dark blue depending on the light would be laid down and it most certainly pops. In fact, some of the custom graphics were even made with water to really seal the deal on the beach theme. Last but not least, we find an accent color to match the custom European leather interior.
