Hennessey is Already Transforming the 700HP Raptor R into a 1000HP Monster
For most truck shoppers, offerings like Ford’s new 2023 F-150 Raptor R are enough to blow their socks off. The spec sheet has the $109,000 SUV coming with a 5.2 L supercharged V8 and 10-speed automatic that will treat the driver to 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of insanity.
Naturally, all of this comes with Ford’s off-road performance package that consumers have become used to with the Raptor model.
While 700 hp is more than enough to blow away 99% of people who are going to end up buying one of these things, those who want a little bit more with their brand-new vehicle now have an option.
Hennessey Performance is the brand that has become known for a quick turnaround on research and development, taking the newest releases to the market and spicing them up just a little bit. With Ford’s Raptor R, there is no exception as Hennessey already announced that a 1000 hp package is on the way.
The performance company will take full advantage of the architecture on board, tossing in a couple of its own upgrades in order to boost the 700 hp truck to the four-digit range.
A supercharger upgrade among other performance enhancements will take the liberty of propelling the horsepower upward 40%, says Hennessey. They also inform us that they will take their experience from working on the S550 Mustang Shelby GT500, which shares a lot of personality traits with the Raptor R, and apply it to Ford’s new super truck.
The package will also include visual enhancements that are outlined by more aggressive bumpers, larger wheels, and LED auxiliary lighting to help illuminate the trail for those who choose to take their VelocitraptoR 1000 to the land less traveled.
One of the cool things about trucks like this is that it also comes with a warranty. Buyers of this particular build will be treated to 2-years/24,000-miles of coverage.
